Mark Visser is an Australian big wave surfer and ocean adventurer. He is the 2014/15 Big Wave Paddle-in Champion and 3x runner-up for the ASL Big Wave Awards. His dedication to the sport is unprecedented with intense training regimes and freakish skills, he is known as one of the fittest watermen in the world. Over the past 5 years, he has coached some of the most elite military organizations, Olympic and professional sporting teams in the world. Visser’s goal is to help as many people feel and be safe in the water as he can.
In 2005 William was the first freediver to dive at Dean’s Blue Hole, now recognized as the world’s premier freediving venue, and site of the annual Vertical Blue event. There he broke his first world record in the discipline of CNF (Constant Weight No Fins) in April 2007, diving to 81m. William also holds the world record in Free Immersion, with 124m (406 feet), set at Vertical Blue in May 2016. He is currently an 18x world free diving champion and considered by many as the best free diver in the world.
Shane Dorian is widely regarded as one of the best big wave surfers of all time. Shane has won over 12 big wave awards ranging from best over all performance, ride of the year, biggest barrel and the biggest paddle in wave award. Shane had a terrifying wipe out at Mavericks in a two-wave hold-down that almost killed him. Shane agrees there is nothing more important than having the skill set and knowledge on how to be confident in the water yourself.
Ant Williams is a multi award winning professional free diver and one of the deepest diving men in the world. Ant can hold his breath for over 8 minutes, dive to -100m and swim 240m on one breath. In short, he knows how to overcome some of the most demanding and uncomfortable challenges a person can face. Ant is not only a champion free diver, he's also a sport psychologist, and was fundamental in the developing key stages in this course.
Brian is the son of another legend, Buffalo Keaulana, and was surfing huge waves at Waimea in his early teens. Keaulana also became a City and County lifeguard, sitting alongside his father at Makaha. Brian is one of the go to guys in Hawaii for water safety operations around events, surf contest and movie productions. Brian has worked on Hollywood films such as Pearl Harbor, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Descendants and Point Break. Brian also works as an instructor for specialized military groups in underwater self-defense tactics.
